Premier Inn Cardiff City Centre (Queen Street) hotel

We stayed for one night with a large group of friends and family celebrating a special birthday, the hotel location is perfect for a city break, rooms were spotlessly clean, warm, quiet and the bed was so comfortable. The bar and restaurant is trendy and vibrant with dining and drinks on offer at certain times of the day. Best of all were the staff, friendly, polite and super helpful! Recently stayed at Premier Inn Queen Street and had a very pleasant stay. We stayed in a standard room with a view, that we were given a very pleasant view of the city. It's in an very ideal location for the City Centre, Utilita Arena and also Queen Street Train Station to head down to Cardiff Bay area. Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We hold our hats to them. There was one girl who we didn't get her name but she worked really hard and helped us with all our questions. The rooms very clean and fresh. Just a shame about the heating not working but was given a replacement stand alone heater. The shower and bath seemed to have good pressure but temperature varied throughout out stay. The WI-FI isn't great at all in the rooms so had to keep coming into reception / bar area to get decent internet. The lock on our room door wasn't working properly but they were aware of other problems with other locks too. Thought the grounds could of been tidied up, as there seemed to be a lot of litter about. The Social Bar area was very nice but thought drinks were on a bit on the pricey side. We stayed for both dinner and breakfast and both meals were very nice. We even had pizza late one evening but only a selection of only two, which was disappointing. We thought dinner should stop at least 11pm instead of what we believed to be 9:30pm, even though its a 24 hour bar. . Thought our stay was well worth the money. We would happily stay again..

Positives: Excellent room; adequately spacious, very well maintained. Very adequate heating. Excellent shower facility, both conventional & ceiling shower with forceful and plenty of hot water. Stunningly noise free; absolute ‘library silence’. Superb mattress & pillows; excellent sleep quality. Super-fast lifts. Excellent reception & Cafe attendants in the morning of our leaving (Ebony & Katie; 5*). Even though the breakfast menu was standard Premier Inn one, the quality of preparation was even better than the ones I have experienced in other Premier Inn facilities. Location could not have been better; one minute from the station. Negatives: No choice of changing the room (computerised check in). Dispassionate insensitive "Reception" ladies in the evening of checking in. No internet connectivity for any of the mobiles; tried all standard steps (could connect only at 11.30pm). Laptop connectivity was slow till very late evening. Without these three negatives, I would have rated my experience as 5+.

Fabulous staff especially Ashley, Marie & there was one other girl with blonde hair with colour in, All 3 really looked after me when I was there moved my room because my heating was playing up, and made sure I was able to eat something due to my dietary requirements. Really make the hotel worth visiting, and always such a joy to be around!

Stayed at the Premier Inn in Cardiff and had a really good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. Staff were friendly and check-in was nice and easy. Great location too, handy for getting around the city. Overall, a solid and reliable place to stay, would happily book again.

Comfy bed, quiet nights and great breakfast. The Member of staff who booked us in was very helpful. She also worked really hard during breakfast, a credit to your company! I tried ringing reception from the car park, to find out how to claim discount. I got a chat bot that told me there was no parking at the hotel. I recommend employing humans.

I decided to book to stay at this premier inn as was attending a concert at the Utilita which is only a 5 minute walk away. Check in was really easy and quick and the hotel is located right next to the shopping centre which is very convenient. They offer a reduced rate for parking at the nearby NCP car park making the cost only around £20 for around 32hrs which was brilliant. The only thing I would say is that you’re able to hear people in the neighbouring rooms making it a little difficult to sleep if you have a particularly loud neighbour. Overall it was a great stay and I would book again

We've stayed in this premier a few times and each time it's been nice. The rooms are basic but clean, well worth the money. It's in a great location as well. The staff, in particular the bar staff, were super friendly, great customer skills there. I'd say this is our go to place whenever we're in Cardiff, highly recommend.
